The Little Mermaid First Birthday Party

Being a mother can be so stressful. Especially when you are a first time mother; endless diapers, wipes, formula, diaper rashes, sleepless nights and so much more. Now to add on to that it is almost time for my daughters first birthday and that means even more stress because of her first birthday party. Who knew that throwing a first birthday party would be so stressful? Not me!

There are so many aspects that go into a party. You need decorations, food, invitations, figuring out who to invite, a space big enough to hold all the guests you invite, a cake, and so much more. But I think my favorite part of all of the planning is it allows me to be as creative as I want! I have always loved The Little Mermaid and I loved the idea of throwing my baby girl The Little Mermaid themed party!

I have been so excited to be able to create something beautiful for my daughter. I started with creating a beautiful birthday card for my princess. It took me awhile to figure out how I wanted it to look. I strolled through hundreds of photos to find the perfect background and even then I ended up changing my mind. I first started off with the card on the right with a water background, but then this beautiful watercolor just popped and I fell in love with it.

What I was most excited for though was creating her birthday outfit. I have seen many beautiful tutu outfits all over Pintrest and Etsy but they were all $40 and up! I was not going to spend that kind of money on a tutu that she would only wear one time. So I decided to give it a go and make it myself. I bought some tulle from Walmart (purple, light blue, dark blue, and a blue/green tulle) at about $0.90 per yard. I bought 3 yards per color, though I did not use all of it. I also bought a crochet top from amazon for around $4. I love how this beautiful tutu has turned out and I can not wait for her birthday for her to be able to wear it finished! I can't wait for November to be her to be able to wear her beautiful outfit!

Reviews of Acrylic Paints

I have been wanting to get back into painting. And I am so glad that I did with this Non-Toxic Acrylic paint. To start with I love that this paint is so thick and easy to apply.  Another thing that i really love is you have to pop it open! Some acrylic paints do not have that foil piece and when you open them, it just explodes out, this one does not!

Once you break that little foil piece, it comes out super easy, so you do not have to squeeze and squeeze to get it out! I think my absolute favorite thing about this one though is it dries super quickly! This is nice so I can add layers quickly, without having to wait too long for it to dry. I can not wait to use this paint more!

Its almost summer, and I really needed a new swimsuit. When I saw this one I fell in LOVE with it! I have always loved this style of clothing and knew when I saw it, I had to have it. Before I go into details about how amazing this swimsuit is, here is a little about it:

So I just want to say again that I love 50s retro style! Especially on this swimsuit. The cut and pattern are beautiful! The style is a classic vintage halter shape bathing suit with a gorgeous print that has hearts, dice, roses, cats, birds, poker, butterfly, flowers, peacock, sugar skulls on it. Also a very beautiful plaid lining inside (I would totally wear it inside out because of how pretty the inside is). The material is so luxurious and feel amazing on my skin! I normally wear a 15-16 so I ordered the XXXL (US 14-16) and I was a little worried that it wasn't going to fit me because of all the reviews saying it was made super small. Well when I tried it on the fabric did make a stretching sound, but fit me beautifully! It made me feel so sexy and beautiful I love it! Definitely a bathing suit I would recommend!

Womens Two Pocket Scrub Top Review!

I am a stay at home mom, and love to wear anything comfortable. Whether that be sweats, pajamas, or scrubs, as long as they are comfortable then I will wear them! And I really love this Womens Two Pocket Scrub Top! It is so soft and comfortable! It makes cleaning, cooking, and taking care of a four month old comfortable. This scrub has two big pockets (perfect for putting my baby girls binky in and other stuff to!) I normally wear a size L and I know that most scrub run small, so I ordered a size XL and it was still a little snug on me (that is my reason for giving four stars). Even though it is snug, it is still very comfortable, and I definitely recommend this brand of scrub! I received this product at a discounted price for my honest review!

Don't these sound awesome? Well let me tell you, they are! I was lucky enough to be able to review them and I love them! I have seen these on TV so many times, and it made my husband and I want to buy them so bad! When I got the chance to review them, I jump at it! These rockets are so fun, and perfect for all ages! The pack comes with 6 Rocket Copters that light up and 3 rubber band shooters. I cant wait till this summer, when the family is all together because the kids are going to love them!
They are super easy to use. You take the rubber band and just shoot them into the air! For night time they light up (which looks so cool!) and they also have a whistling sound when you shoot them off.
The only thing that I didn't like about them was that the batteries are not replaceable. So after the batteries run out, then you will have to buy a whole new pack instead of changing a battery out, which becomes expensive.
But over all I really love this product, and definitely recommend it for a fun summer night!

I really love this Toy Organizer! It has 2 hooks that are connected to the mesh organizer that are very strong, and 2 extra for anything you need to use it for. The mesh bag itself is perfect because it is so big! I don't have to worry about not having enough room for all her toys (that she is going to have)! Another thing that I love about this organizer is that it comes with little extras. I love cats! I have loved them since I was about 7 years old when we got out first cat, Lucky. Another thing I have always loved is coloring. Every time I went to the store with my mom, i used to beg her to buy me coloring books! Now, with this book I  can combine my love for both! This book is very sophisticated and beautifully made! It combines my love of cats and coloring, all while making it age appropriate for adults! When you think of coloring books, most people think of kids, because that is who they are usually made for. Not this book! It is perfect fro cat lovers and people who love to color!

Forest Secrets: A Magical Mystery Novel

I know most people say "Don't judge a book buy it's cover!" but that is what I always do, when it comes to books that is. I have found that I am always drawn to books by the way their covers are designed. I have always been a visual person. I feel that the cover of a book is going to tell me more about the story, or give me an insight as to what the book is going to be about. Like for instance the cover of this book, Forest Secrets, I can tell that it is going to be a story about a girl who either trapped in a tree or is a tree. also from this cover I am guessing that it is going to be a book for younger teens. The only real reason I am saying that is the font. Its more playful them some.
So now getting into the story, It is about a young girl named Daisy who discovers that there are half-tree, half-human beings that live in an old forest. She meets a tree-human named Callandrai who can't find her parents, and she tries to help her find them. While searching they discover that the forest is being threatened and she has to save the forest and the tree-humans that live their and make sure that no one finds out about them.
As I had stated before, I had gone into this book knowing it was for a younger audience. I believe that if a 11 year old read this book they would love it, it has mystery, danger and a little magic in it, which is perfect for that age group! However, in this story there is random Spanish words thrown in, that most people don't know, so i'm sure a young kid would also not understand. It was a well written book that has a great story line to it!

OZ Naturals Sea Infused Herbal Moisturizer

I love OZ Natural products, as I am sure you have seen in my previous post about their products (if not go check them out! Facial Cleanser and Facial Toner. For my newer readers, I started using the OZ Naturals products about two months or so and I fell in love with them. I absolutely love reviewing their products! They always have a great smell to them and great results. One of the greatest things about their products is that they are all natural, so no harsh chemicals!

I sometimes hate reviewing products because I don't want to be like, "Oh I hate your product". With this brand I have yet to have that problem! The product I am reviewing today is the Sea Infused Herbal Moisturizer. Ok first things first, the smell! Oh My Gosh! It's heavenly! In this moisturizer there is coconut oil, BLUEBERRY EXTRACT, vitamin C, giant sea kelp extract and so much more. And can you guess what you smell the most in this? I think you can. That's right blueberries. Now please tell me, who wouldn't want a facial moisturizer that smells fruity and delicious? Not only does it smell amazing! But it also makes my skin super soft!
What I do everyday is start off with the OZ Naturals Ocean Mineral Facial Cleanser, then use the Ocean Mineral Tonic(Facial Toner), and lastly I use the Sea Infused Herbal Moisturizer. After that my face is set! My skin is super soft and feels so fresh! If you are looking for all new facial products that are all natural I definitely recommend this for you!

OZ Naturals Tonic Facial Toner

To be honest I have never used a facial toner before. A couple years ago if you had asked me if I knew what a facial toner was, I would have been like "Huh?" And I really didn't really take good care of my skin. sure I used acne cleanser but that was it. There are so many different skin care products that help protect and repair your skin, such as a facial toner. For those of you who don't know what facial toner is/does here is a brief description:

What is facial toner? It is a skin toner that is a wash or lotion that cleanse the skin and helps shrink pores. It is usually used on the face but can be used anywhere. Now I started using the OZ Naturals products about two months or so ago and I fell in love with them. I absolutely love reviewing their products! They always have a great smell to them and great results. One of the greatest things about their products is that they are all natural, so no harsh chemicals! My most recent product of theirs has been the Tonic Facial Toner. I have been using it everyday, once a day for a week or two and it is amazing. It makes my skin super soft (mixed with their Sea Infused Herbal Moisturizer my face is like a babies butt). I have always had oily skin, and I have now noticed that my skin has been less oily, Which is a blessing! The only complaint that I have is if I have a breakout, the tonic hurts it for a few seconds but does fade quickly.
My daily routine has been: I start with their Ocean Mineral Cleanser then the Tonic Facial Cleanser, and last the Sea Infused Herbal Moisturizer. I really love their products, and if you decide to purchase them, I hope you do to!

I was really excited when I got approved to review this product! I have seen this brand before and loved all of their beautifully made products! This one is no different. First, and the only complaint I have about this product, it came in a small plastic bag, so it got a little flat. However, after playing with it a little bit, I was able to position it how I liked! Second it is very cute and stylish! It is perfect for a formal occasion or maybe even for my daughter when she gets older(she could have tea parties or play dress up). Third this derby hat is very comfortable and light weight! Some clips are hard and heavy, and they give me head aches, not this! I could forget I am even wearing it because it is so light! More about the clip; it is a very sturdy, strong, and great quality clip! I have thin hair and a lot of hair clips just slip off. Yet this one does not! It stays in place and  I don't have to worry about fixing it!

Update!

Long time no write huh? Sorry it has been so long since I wrote, my life has been crazy recently. For those of you who do not know, my husband has a very serious heart condition called Cardiomyopathy. When he was a baby (only three days old) he caught an infection in his belly button and it attacked his heart. If you would like to look into what that is exactly, here is a very well written article about it: Cardiomyopathy.
Well recently he has been going to doctors appointments to see if he qualifies for either a transplant or for an LVad (is a pump that used for patients who have reached end-stage heart failure. They surgically implant the LVAD, a battery-operated, mechanical pump, which then helps the left ventricle (main pumping chamber of the heart) pump blood to the rest of the body. It has a plug that comes out of his body and he either has to have it plugged in or connected to a battery pack 24/7.). Well just last week we got a call saying that he was approved for a heart transplant, and he is on the list!! He was told by a nurse that because of his blood type, he has a very high chance of getting a heart at any time because not many patients have his blood type! We are super excited that something is finally happening!
So dealing with all of that and having an almost four month old baby girl (she turns four months on March 10th) my life has been crazy! Hopefully within the next 24 hours I can get some reviews posted for you guys, so stay tuned for those!

Classic Human Anatomy in Motion by Valerie L. Winslow

Classic Human Anatomy in Motion by Valerie L. Winslow is a great reference book for anyone who is taking an art class! When I was in high school, I took a couple different drawing classes. One of the first things we had to draw was someones face first with pencil, then shade with charcoal. As a freshman that was the hardest things I had to draw. Then came junior year and with it came drawing the full frame of someone. I really struggled with this. It is extremely hard to get proportions right, even when looking at a photo for guidance.
I wish that my school would have had this book, or one similar, because this book goes into such amazing detail of the body! It is an amazing book! If you are an artist and struggle with anatomy, just want a deeper look into it, or like to learn about the human body, then this is a perfect book for you! This book goes into amazing detail about Anatomy in motion! This is a perfect "instruction manual" on drawing the human figure. 
Winslow's book has such beautifully drawn illustrations. Also the information in it is very vast! It teaches you so much about anatomy, like how the body moves, and even why they look the way they do! It is a book that you have to sit down with a notebook and highlighter!

Do you ever go on Pinterest and look through the DIY stuff? I do, and I love everything that I see! I have to admit, I see a whole crap load of DIY and say "I'm going to do that. Oh that too! And that one!" and I never do any of them. Well I am going to change that! I want to do more and share them with you!
Today I have one that I have seen a hundred times, a hundred different ways. It's using shower curtain rings in your closet! There are so many different ways you can use them! These are super awesome shower rings. They are super durable move really smoothly across any surface, and can hold a heavy weight of whatever your use is (weather it be using in your bathroom for your shower curtain, tank-tops, belts, purse ect.). If I didn't already have good curtain rings in my bathroom, I really would put these in there! They are super classy looking, and would fit in nicely! However I had a different plan for these. I wanted to use them to make more room in my closet! I saw this pin on Pinterest a long time ago, to make more room in your closet by hanging your tank-tops on shower curtain rings and hanging them on a hanger. A couple weeks ago, my Mother-In-Law, told me about it again. So when I saw these super classy, strong curtain rings, I knew I had to get them! The work so well! Reading the description, I got really excited about receiving this product! When I received it, I really liked the face of the watch. It looks very classy and simple, and would fit in with any outfit. However, the band, in my opinion, sucks. It is very flimsy, and just feels cheap. It is also not very comfortable nor does it fit me very well. Honestly, I may just cut of this band and add my own because I really love the face! And the watch works really great so no complaints there!

Hey Mama Disposable Nursing Pads

Are you nursing? Have you ever had those days where you wake up with big wet spots on your breasts? Or are out and about and all of a sudden look down and bam! Your clean white shirt is now see-through? I have. And if you haven't been there, let me tell you, it sucks! Breastfeeding my daughter is hard, I actually had to start supplementing because she never seems to be full enough! But, somehow I still get full enough, that I will wake up in the middle of the night,with big wet patches on my shirt and a big wet spot on my bed... Really?

Well recently, that has changed! I received this AMAZING (can you tell that I like them?) nursing pads! Here is a little about them:

 

Like you need anymore discomfort. Our nursing pads are soft as silk to reduce any irritation. 

Milk mustaches may be cute, but milk stains on your favorite shirt are not...these little puppies are ultra absorbent.

We know that new mamas never stop moving, but two adhesive strips keep these from going anywhere 

They're discrete and form fitting to blend in with whatever you're wearin', Mama.

So the first thing I love about this product/company, is the super cute box that it comes in! I mean look at that? Is that not adorable? Another thing that I was loved, they are super absorbent! I had another brand of nursing pads, and they worked ok, for example, if I wore them for an hour or two and it was during the day, but I needed one that would last me sleeping all night, and those ones did not! Hey Mama's brand on the other hand? They are perfect for when I am sleeping! They are super comfortable, fit in my bras perfectly, and they last, for a while! Also when I am out, I don't have to worry about switching out the pads! I would definitely recommend these nursing covers!

How is your Wednesday going? Mine has been good; I've spent most of it cleaning. I have been slacking in cleaning recently and finally had the motivation to do it today! Luckily Liviana was pretty calm to today so I was able to get everything done!

I love the cute packaging that it comes in! It comes in a cute little box, perfect for the necklaces, with there logo on it! The baltic amber necklace is a very pretty brown and yellow that is really well made! You don't have to worry about it breaking because it is double knotted and made to be pulled on so the baby can't choke on the beads (thankfully!). Also the fastner is a screw type, so much easier to put on then the tiny metal claps that some have. And both necklaces also have a great length! The amber necklace is a great length, so I know that she will be able to wear it for a long time. The mommy necklace is a great length so when Livi is sitting in my lap she can grab/teeth it easy! She is going to be teething soon and these are going to be perfect! I love that they are all natural. It so much better then buying teething necklaces and worrying about them having chemicals and other unnatural products in it! This would be a perfect gift for new mothers!

Ew. That is the first thought that comes to mind when I think of these. If you like sweet things, (like me) then these are not for you! These are so bitter! I almost spit all of it out after a small bite, but for the sake of this review (your welcome) I endured eating it. Before I continue about how gross these are, here is a description of this product:

We kept the sugar to 4g per bar.

So a positive about these are that they are they are all natural so you don't have to worry about having any harmful chemicals or preservatives in these. However, the taste is very bitter. They are a dark chocolate and coconut bar. I wasn't expecting to get a super sweet bar, obviously but they don't taste like they have any chocolate or coconut in them at all. On the other hand, they did give me a little energy after eating them, however I can't get past the taste. If these had a better flavor i would definitely give these a 5/5.

Guess the Animal Faces: Animal Identification Book for Kids

I reviewed this super adorable eBook called Guess the Animal Faces: Animal Identification Book for Kids by Lisa Rusczyk.  It is a very cute book where kids can guess the animals that are shown, then later in the book there is a search and find for all the animals! It is a cool, interactive book that is great for teaching kids all their animals! I really don't like eBooks because of all the formatting issues that always happen, but I really wish there was a printed copy of this book, because I would most definitely buy it for her to teach her all the animals! I give this #Drlisa book a 5/5!
